Channing may join PATH. PATH is a network of non-partisan community and faith-based organizations in Howard County, Maryland that seeks to bring together people of all faiths, races and classes to achieve a common purpose: to enhance the lives of all our residents. PATH is part of a state-wide alliance -- the Just Power Alliance, including affiliates such as AIM in Montgomery County and ACT in Anne Arundel County.

Listening Campaign

On January 14, members of Channing identified the following concerns:

  • Well-being of Youth

  • Availability of Public Services for those with mental health and other disabilities

  • Issues Affecting Federal Employees

  • Immigration

  • Education

  • Health Care

  • Public Safety (gun violence)

  • Marginalization of Certain Groups

Alignment With PATH Priorities

PATH Priorities:

  • Affordable Housing

  • Immigration

  • Healthcare

  • Affordability - especially housing, health care and food costs (food insecurity)

  • Youth - mental health, education

  • Polarization

Next Steps: Meet Sunday, April 12, after Worship Service

  • Revisit Listening Campaign Issues

  • Take ownership of an issue

  • Connect with other congregations and organizations to participate with an issue
